New recruit Gary White is a specialist crane service and lifting engineer with over 20 years industry experience. White has joined a team of engineers operating under Mark Revans, Cosalt’s marine and lifting equipment development manager and Andy Reeves, the firm’s lifting and testing technical leader.

This workforce investment has occurred due to Cosalt’s commitment to safety and timeliness for its clients, as well as increasing customer orders from across the region.

Andy Reeves said: “With increasingly stringent health and safety legislation, the market for servicing and testing equipment like cranes, beams, blocks, pulleys, winches and fall under arrest gear has grown rapidly in recent years. We aim to provide customers with a complete package of services covering all their needs, whether they are hiring equipment or purchasing a more permanent lifting solution.

“To ensure we deliver a fast turnaround on loose equipment we have set up a new workshop within our Birkenhead service centre. This facility allows us to test, service and repair items like chain blocks on site. We can also make up bespoke items like chain slings to order and we carry a large stock of equipment for hire or purchase.”

While the Cosalt head office is based in Grimsby, the organisation works across Europe in various sectors of the marine and industrial safety industries.
