China-based Henan Clescrane System (Clescrane) has completed the delivery and commissioning of a 5t double girder overhead crane for a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) room at the Saudi solar photovoltaic (PV) project.
The system is intended to support assembly and maintenance operations within a high-voltage power substation associated with the energy project.
The company stated that all stages of the project, from engineering design and manufacturing to inspection, testing, and final commissioning, were carried out to ensure the crane’s safe and reliable performance.
Clescrane specified that the equipment supplied meets standards set by the Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA).
The company said: “The successful completion of this project demonstrates Clescrane’s commitment to delivering high-quality crane solutions for critical energy infrastructure projects worldwide.”
The GIS room crane solution involves overhead lifting equipment designed with a focus on high safety for use in environments in Saudi Arabia.
These systems enable the movement of heavy equipment during assembly and routine maintenance inside the stations.
Clescrane operates through three entities, with its core business focused on product design and software development.
According to the company, GBCRANES acts as its manufacturing arm, undertaking product assembly, testing, inspection, storage, and packaging. The manufacturing facility is designated with a Class B qualification for cranes under 200t.
INAMAR, another associated company, provides project management and resource integration for Clescrane’s operations.
The company describes its approach as an asset-light and high-efficiency business model, aimed at supporting steady long-term development.
Earlier this month, CLESCRANE held a technical exchange with SICK, an automation technology company. The meeting centred on a fully automated overhead crane project planned for Europe.
In May 2025, Clescrane supplied six overhead cranes to Ghana Engineering and Construction Company, including three single-girder cranes and three double-girder cranes.
