Cimolai Technology has completed the delivery of 23 electric jib cranes to the IMI Shipyard located in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. The company announced this milestone through a LinkedIn post.
The cranes, designed with capacities of 30, 50, and 100 tonnes, are tailored to meet the specific operational demands of the shipyard.
“These cranes were engineered for precision, endurance, and full-motion operation, even in extreme climates,” the company said in the post.
Key features of these cranes include a lower portal frame with equalised steel wheels, a slewing platform equipped with a rope-level luffing boom, and a rear counterweight to maintain balance and stability.
The cranes’ mechanical and electrical systems are designed to handle high torque and thermal capacity, allowing for independent operation of each drive and continuous performance under full load conditions.
Installation of all cranes has been completed, with the project now moving into the final stages. The commissioning and handover to the client are anticipated by this summer, Cimolai said.
The cranes are capable of hoisting, trolley travel, and gantry travel under maximum load, and they can operate within a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C.
