The application contains working load limits for different kinds of hitches, such as vertical, choke and basket hitches. Every chart includes three hitches and three load capacities.
Charts also provide tables on screw pin shackles with working load limits and pin diameters.
Drew Merschat, representative of Rigit, says, “The app is very user friendly and easy to navigate. It works just like it appears. Click the tab of which you wish to get the working load limits. I personally have been in the sales end of the rigging industry for 10 years. I am familiar with all areas of our industry which leads me to believe anyone with a hand held device would benefit greatly.”
The Rigit application is currently be available to download on Rigit’s website.
The current version of Rigit is for iPhone only, but Blackberry and Android versions will follow, the producer says.
