
Celich Enterprises has acquired Drafto Corporation, a manufacturer of heavy-duty overhead crane lifting and weighing systems, for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition aims to stimulate growth while preserving existing operations and jobs in Cochranton, Crawford County.
The move is expected to enhance Drafto’s market reach and product offerings while maintaining its reputation for reliability and custom solutions.
Stanley Celich, founder of Celich Enterprises, will take over as chairman and CEO of Drafto, and its former CEO, Bruce Wesley, will continue as president and chief operating officer.
The current leadership team will remain in their roles, ensuring continuity in operations and strategic direction.

Established in 1942, Drafto has been a key supplier of overhead material handling equipment for the steel industry, offering durable and dependable products.
The company provides a range of designs and pricing options based on required crane service, including CMAA Class D, E, or F, and AISE heavy steel mill duty designs.
Initially producing metal stampings for various industries, Drafto introduced the portable drafting table in the late 1930s, which gained popularity during and after World War II.
By 1942, Drafto had shifted focus to manufacturing heavy-duty material handling equipment, a commitment that continues to this day.
Celich Enterprises plans to expand Drafto’s reach into new geographies and markets while upholding its legacy of customer satisfaction.
The acquisition secures existing jobs in Cochranton, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the local community and its workforce.
