CAN-D Electrification Systems Ltd. of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, is manufacturing a new line of cable entry fittings, “designed specifically for 600 volt flat cables used in industrial crane and hoist applications,” it said.
Made of high impact materials that are oil resistant, units are suitable for temperature ratings from -25 to 80 degrees C, “to meet most industrial applications,” it added.
The cable grips are made from a two-piece body that incorporates an interlocking tongue and groove design “providing superior strength.”
Units have a 1in National Pipe Thread (NPT) nut and a rubber gasket for securing to electrical enclosures.
The universal body utilizes various caps with a rectangular slot to fit a variety of flat cable sizes. For example, it can accommodate 14 American Wire Gauge (AWG, 2.5mm2), to 6AWG (16mm2) in a 4 conductor cable or 14AWG (2.5mm2) or 16AWG (1.5mm2) in 8 or 12 conductor cable.
