Switzerland-based manufacturer Brun Marti Dytan has installed two ABUS ELV 10t single-girder overhead travelling cranes for Bilfinger Industrial Services located at Innertkirchen, Bern.
The cranes, each spanning 8.7m, are equipped with ABUControl, which enables workers to adjust crane movements via tablet.
A tandem control feature allows a single operator to control both units simultaneously.
The new equipment will handle the transfer of pipes and pressure pipes from vehicles to pipe transport wagons, accommodating inclines up to 45 degrees.
Installation occurred within a cavern environment and was completed within schedule.
Brun Marti Dytan said: “We have just successfully completed the installation of two ABUS ELV 10t x 8700mm single-girder overhead travelling cranes for Bilfinger Industrial Services GmbH in Innertkirchen.
“The assembly went quickly and smoothly despite the special location in a cavern.
