Baltkran goes nuclear (again)

Special materials are used offering resistance to radiation deactivation and are proofed to be reliable at temperatures between -40°C (-40°F) to 60°C (140°F) and seismic activity of 7 on the Richter scale.

Both 33.5m span cranes can lift loads up to 160 tons with their deadweight of 210 tons. They will be equipped with sophisticated control systems, according to Baltkran.

The cranes are scheduled for delivery in September 2006. From 2000 to 2005 Baltkran has delivered more than 70 cranes to nuclear stations, including to China and India.
