UAE-based crane dealer and manufacturer Ace Crane Systems has completed the installation and commissioning of six ABUS 15t double-girder electric overhead travelling cranes at a new steel manufacturing facility in the UAE.

The newly installed cranes are supplied by Germany-based ABUS Overhead Cranes.

The cranes, installed across two production bays, are designed for intensive steel-plant operational cycles and have a span of 24,000mm and a lifting height of 10,000mm.

Each unit is equipped with a wireless joystick radio remote control, and an independent floor-level pendant as a secondary control option.

The systems comply with DIN 15018 standards and are rated to duty group FEM 2m/M5, with IP 55 protection.

The cranes are powered by a shrouded conductor system delivering 320A across 194m runways per bay.

Structures are finished with grit-blasted surfaces and coated with a three-layer epoxy ABUS C2 paint system in RAL 1007.

A full day of onsite load testing validated the performance and safety of the new equipment, following extensive planning and coordination among project teams.

The company said: “A full day of load testing completed safely on site — a result of strong planning, skilled execution, and close coordination between every team involved.”

Ace Crane Systems undertakes the design, fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of cranes and material handling equipment.

The company operates from a facility in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, and sources electro-mechanical components from its overseas partners, fabricating girder structures locally.

With over 250 staff, the firm manages all sales, engineering, and service activities internally, including crane assembly, testing, and after-sales maintenance.

The company serves a range of industrial clients and maintains an ISO9001 (2008) certified production process.

In August 2025, Ace Crane installed ABUS overhead cranes at a state-of-the-art luxury yacht manufacturing facility.
