As a result of this commitment, CICMHE and MHIA are soliciting, and will be funding, research proposals for the 2008-09 academic year. A total of $100,000 has been allocated in 2008 to support this research.

To qualify, proposals must be for material handling and facility logistics focused research projects to be conducted by academic institutions. Proposals must clearly identify significant involvement of one or more graduate students working with the Principal Investigator(s). The lead institution and principal investigator must be in the United States or Canada.

Proposals must clearly address one or more of the initiatives identified in the 2007 Material Handling Logistics Summit.
