ZPMC, the Chinese manufacturer and supplier of port equipment including cranes, donated a number of books to the Hanhua Chinese School in Germany at the end of November.

Founded in 1993 and located in Hamberg, the school was the first Chinese school for mainland Chinese children in northern Germany. ZPMC said the books – which cover topics such as basic Chinese characters and general knowledge – are to help the more than 300 students learn Chinese better and experience what it called “the time-honored and distinctive Chinese culture”.

“The book donation reflects that ZPMC attaches importance to spreading Chinese traditional culture, and will enhance the friendly exchange between China and Germany,” the company said.

Ms. Zhou Kaifen, the school principal, attended the donation ceremony on behalf of the education establishment.
