The USA’s $60bn-a-year material handling industry met at the biennial ProMat show in Chicago, 8 through 11 February.
ProMat 99 featured demonstrations of all types of material handling equipment, systems and services on 23,000m2 of exhibition space on two floors of the McCormick Place North facility.
The organisers said that they expected more than 45,000 visitors, coming from more than 60 countries. The event was billed as “the largest and most comprehensive material handling logistics trade event ever to take place in the United States”.
