Improvements will include the rehabilitation of six existing slide gates, the removal and replacement of all wooden stop logs and existing handling system including the removal of all hoist enclosures and hoists, the removal and refinishing of areas where lead paint coating has failed, erosion repair of one abutment wall, and the construction of a new pedestrian bridge.
