Small cranes specialist Pelloby has completed an order for 250kg-capacity knuckle-jib (middle-articulating jib) cranes for Ford’s Leamington Spa foundry in the UK.

The new units replace older Pelloby units in the foundry and are used to handle grinding wheels on the grey iron casting line.

Pelloby says the configuration of the pivots has been optimised to give a smooth hand-push slewing action while maintaining sufficient friction to hold the job steady in the parked position. The cranes have a maximum radius of 3m with the knuckle in the fully-extended position and a slewing angle of 270o.
