A desire to create a nearly freely configurable and programmable radio system for all kinds of customised requirements has led HBC-Radiomatic of Germany to produce the Radiobus system, which HBC describes as “a new radio receiver concept”.
The system construction of the 735 radiobus receiver demonstrates the new philosophy, the manufacturer says. The bussystem is equipped with eight slots for different flexcards. Four flexcards are needed for the base system and the others are used for up to four input/output cards, which can be freely combined. The 770 Radiobus has 20 flexcard slots.
The base system consists of flexcards for the RF communication, the bus manager, the power supply and the base decoder including emergency stop.
Input/output flexcards are available in various configurations: relay output card with eight potential-free contacts; opto coupler card with 8/16 inputs or outputs; proportional interface card with eight proportional interfaces; programmable serial interface card for different interfaces. The Radiobus works together with established HBC transmitters Eco and Spectrum 1 to 3.
