Clayton has added new drive units to it product range. Designated the DGR series, the wheel assembly running units are designed for the movement of track mounted materials handling systems, including hoists, crane end carriages, conveying systems, stacker systems and general lifting equipment.
DGR wheel assemblies are available in five sizes, designed for a maximum wheel load of 13,500kg and a maximum travel speed of 63m/min.
Drives are available with single or dual speeds, or – using a digital frequency inverter – with infinitely variable speed control.
Claytons says that as the DGR units are compact, they are suitable for short headroom environments.
In a separate development, Clayton has also added aluminium models to its range of lightweight tracking systems to provide “an aesthetically pleasing lifting solution” for loads up to 125kg.
The new Clayton LRA system has a modular design to allow customisation for each end-user application, the company says.
Because it is light, easy to install, and simple to relocate, it is offered as a solution for temporary lifting units.
The profiled aluminium sections are designed to be able to take loads of 125kg suspended from spans with up to 4.25m between supports.
