Certex UK has designed, fabricated and delivered an 8m-long lifting beam to a machine manufacturer in Loughborough in the UK.
Brush Electrical Machines will use the 119t SWL tandem crane lifting beam to move large high voltage generators around its factory. The beam, which was delivered in December, was tested using mechanical particle induction testing, a non destructive method which can trace minute cracks after weights in excess of 150t are applied to the beam.
Brush exports machines all over the world to petrochemical and process industries, offshore oil platforms, power generation utilities and marine and dockside applications.
