We, as Kito Crosby, are proud to announce our continued support for GLAD 2025, taking place on 12 June 2025, focusing on the theme of ‘Lifting Careers, Building Futures.’
One of the primary objectives of this year’s theme is to equip employers with effective recruitment strategies to help address the skills gap in the lifting industry. With the right strategies, employers can fill these roles and build qualified, exceptional teams that will drive long-term success.
This year’s theme also emphasises the need to empower job seekers, particularly those considering a career in the lifting industry. As the demand for skilled professionals continues to grow, the lifting industry offers a wealth of career opportunities for individuals at all stages of their professional journey. Whether someone is just entering the workforce or looking to pivot into a new career, the lifting industry offers a wide range of roles, from crane operators and engineers to project managers and safety officers.
As a company committed not only to safety, sustainability and innovation but also workforce growth, we are excited to contribute to this global initiative and help further the dialogue around creating a sustainable and dynamic workforce for the lifting industry. As part of our contribution to this year’s campaign, we will be launching a podcast episode and a video to explore the theme in-depth and help spark industry-wide conversations that drive meaningful changes.
New podcast episode with LEEA’s CEO LEEA CEO
Dr Ross Moloney shares his thoughts on the GLAD 2025 theme and the broader challenges and opportunities facing the lifting industry. With a strong focus on this year’s theme, Ross explains why ‘building careers’ is essential to the future of the industry. Moreover, the conversation looks ahead to the future of lifting, exploring the role of innovation and technology and how they impact the way the industry operates. It will be available on 5 June through Kito Crosby’s Spotify channel, “Raise your world – A podcast for lifting professionals”. Listeners can expect honest insights, realworld examples and actionable advice for both employers and aspiring professionals. We invite everyone, from tenured professionals to those who are just starting out, to tune in, reflect and take part in the discussion.
New video meeting between Ross Moloney and Wim Fabricius
Complementing the podcast is a video conversation between Dr Moloney and Kito Crosby’s president and managing director for EMEA, Wim Fabricius, discussing the GLAD theme. This video captures an exchange between two leaders who share a deep commitment to the industry and their people. They cover the current state of the sector, the importance of making the lifting industry attractive to young talent and how companies can go beyond job listings to create meaningful employment journeys. Wim shares the ongoing projects that Kito Crosby has been conducting to align with the initiatives, with which the company can reach a broader pool of young talent and upskill their existing workforce to ensure that skilled workers stay long-term. Their exchange serves as both a call to action and a roadmap for organisations looking to align with the values of this year’s GLAD goals.
As we approach GLAD 2025, we invite you to join us in supporting this important cause. Whether you are an employer, a job seeker or an industry professional, together we can ensure that the lifting industry continues to be a place where people find purpose, build careers and grow alongside the evolving needs of the world.
