Craven Associates of the UK has redesigned the tubes on its Hover-Lift range of vacuum lifting equipment to increase the shortening ratio by 15%.

This widens the range of suitable applications for the devices, the company says, from sack handling, for which it was originally developed, to a broader range of repetitive lifting operations. It also increases the working life of the lifter, claims the manufacturer.

As before, the new models are available with a range of safe working loads up to 125kg for single tube models, rising to 500kg for systems with four tubes.

Craven says that for specialist lifting tasks it can also design and manufacture customised suction feet where loads would benefit.
