A small cantilevered crane system with a pneumatic hoist has been installed by Automatic Handling Europe (AHe) in the premises of carbon fibre manufacturer SGL Technic of Inverness, UK.
SGL wanted a simple system for transferring 25kg boxes of milled fibre from a hopper weigh scale onto pallets for transportation. AHe’s solution was to use the existing steelwork in the manufacturing area to support a cantilevered lifting frame.
