Air Technical Industries of the USA has produced a heavy-duty, electro-mechanical ‘Upender-Inverter’ with 90° and 180° rotation. It was developed for smooth, precision-placing of large heavy loads, either from a horizontal to a vertical position or vice-versa. The unit can be equipped with a roller conveyor so that the load can be guided automatically, then gently clamped together with the hydraulically operated scissor platform. The load can then be turned 180°, upside down, so that it can automatically exit on the powered roller conveyor.
