Because many construction companies don’t have the financial or personnel resources to participate in continuous safety climate and safety management improvement, CPWR worked with industry professionals to create the web-based?SafetyClimate-Safety Management Information System?(SC-SMIS).
The SC-SMIS is accessible to everyone and enables users to:
- Measure?their jobsite safety climate across eight leading indicators using reliable and valid safety climate assessment tools,
- Download?evidence-based safety management policies, procedures, guidelines, and templates from a large repository to strengthen low-scoring indicators. (All documents are available in English and Spanish), and
- Develop?plans to put selected resources into action and set reminders to conduct annual assessments.
Since its launch earlier this year, more than 300 companies from around the world have become SC-SMIS users and the safety management resources have been downloaded over 25,000 times. Learn more in this one-page description, which can also be used for your own newsletters, blog posts, etc.
