The Crosby Group is expanding its warehouse in Heist-op-den-Berg, Belgium, to meet growing demands in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

The existing 1,800 square-meter warehouse will be increased to 4,200 square meters; ground was broken in May with completion scheduled for the end of this year.

"With this new, much larger and more modern warehouse we will increase our capacity to meet the increased demand for our products in the EMEA region,” said Wim Fabricius, MD, The Crosby Group EMEA.

The project coincides with a move to a single order-to-cash process so regional partners will no longer have to work with multiple contacts and shipments when sourcing various branded products.

The Crosby Group manufactures products that are used for lifting, load securement and mooring, with brands including; Crosby, Gunnebo Industries, Crosby Feubo, Crosby IP, Crosby BlokCam and Crosby Straightpoint.

During this year and into Q1 2022, a joint SAP system is being implemented, to further improve the service level and customer experience for business partners in EMEA.

The Crosby Group commissioned an external study on product flows that presented a blue-sky proposal on the location of the new warehouse. In addition to a systems and process overhaul, the new facility will include narrow-aisle racking.
