R&M announce new jib crane package
5 October 2010 by Alice AttwoodHoist manufacturer R&M Materials Handling has extended its Spacemaster range of crane packages with the addition of the Spacemaster JC jib crane package.
The Spacemaster JC has been designed specifically for use with R&M’s Loadmate electric chain hoist, but is also compatible with the company’s EZ Lift manual chain hoist products.
Available as a wall-mounted or freestanding jib crane, the crane package features spans of up to 8m designed to handle a maximum load of 2t.
Free-standing models can be secured using templates and anchor bolts or base plates with chemical bolts, depending on whether installation is on existing concrete floors or poured foundations.
Both freestanding and wall-mounted models are available as over or under-braced models.
Optional extras include a 16amp, 600v, non-fused lockable disconnect switch, which comes built into the pillar of free-standing models, in addition to an in-track or parallel C-track flat cable festoon.
Manufacture of the crane package takes into account both Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers standards (OSHA 1910.179 and ASME B30.11 respectively).
The design also incorporates the British Standards Institution’s (BSI) EN 13001-1, 13001-2 and 13001-3 regulations.
The package is available customers fully manufactured, or as a hardware kit.
