The first Overhead Crane and Hoist Innovation Conference will take place online on October 8th, with nine speakers from our industry all giving presentations.

The virtual conference will allow delegates to watch the full conference programme; pose questions to the speakers in live Q&A sessions; chat live to exhibitor representatives, and download their product information; and to meet and talk to other delegates.

The event is set to showcase the very best and most cutting-edge technology the lifting and handling industry has to offer, with a wide audience of end-users, manufacturers and decision-makers all coming together.

The conference programme kicks off with Markus Otto, sales director for ETO cranes at Demag, discussing the company’s fully-automated crane and warehousing system.

Throughout the day delegates will hear from Reid Lifting on the versatility of its light and portable cranes; ABB’s solutions for the mining sector; ITI discussing the use of virtual reality in crane training; PaR highlighting the benefits of its anti-sway and crane control system; and HBC-radiomatic showcasing its crane controls with live video feedback.

The agenda will conclude with Columbus McKinnon introducing its key recent innovations, and R&M Materials Handling talking about its OLI app for remotely accessing hoist performance data.
