LS celebrates 30th anniversary

Since its inception in 1976 the company has grown from a simple chain and rope supplier into a full-service engineering operation with its own access division, machine shop and fabrication capability, employing more than 30 staff.

LS (formerly Chain and Rope Services) was set up as a rapid response lifting equipment supplier to the then thriving steel and coal industries of south Yorkshire.

As Hoist has reported, in recent months the firm has moved to new premises, signed a major partnership deal with French manufacturer Verlinde and has also opened a new machine shop.
