Kito Corporation has marked its 80th anniversary this year by announcing its goal of achieving sales of JPY 100bn (USD 1.25bn) in its midterm management plan.

The company, which began operations on 8 November 1932, has recently opened a new factory in Indonesia to strengthen its presence in South East Asia.

Kito CEO and president, Yoshio Kito, said: "Since its establishment, Kito has consistently engaged in the development, manufacture and sales of material handling equipment, which are indispensable to the lifting, transporting and securing of objects. We believe that the 80th anniversary offers us an opportunity to reaffirm the fact that conducting business activities as a group united under a common corporate mission is at the root of our management approach, which has consistently adopted the customers' perspective, and the ideal image to which we aspire."

Kito added: "The environment surrounding Kito has always been fraught with various risks and difficulties, and there is also no guarantee that the unexpected will not occur at any time in the future. Nevertheless, our products have been in constant demand as products indispensable to the development of basic industrial infrastructure. We intend to continue our efforts to provide products and services that give unmatched satisfaction beyond the expectations of our customers. We believe that putting such a corporate mission into practice will promote the growth of Kito as well as contribute to the happiness of our employees and the prosperity of all our stakeholders."
