French lifting equipment distributor and installer AMIO Levage has supplied and installed two DONATI articulated jib cranes, both featuring a 500kg capacity and a 6m reach.
AMIO’s stated that the remit extended beyond supplying the units: it covered study and drawing work, followed by installation and commissioning.
The announcement did not name the customer or identify where the cranes were fitted.
The cranes are specified as pole-mounted articulated jibs with an overall height of about 3m.
AMIO associates this design with workstation ergonomics.
Rotation is manual up to 360°, with stops on the first arm, while the fixing method uses a plate and chemical anchoring.
The specification also includes a power line and a padlockable disconnect switch.
Headquartered in Ancenis, Pays de la Loire, AMIO was founded in 1989.
The company distributes and installs lifting and handling equipment, including DONATI jib cranes and electric hoists.
Its range also includes OMIS overhead, gantry and semi-gantry cranes, STAHL electric hoists, IKUSI radio remote controls and PROSYSTEM ERIKKILA light handling equipment.
AMIO provides lifting equipment maintenance and maintains industrial paint booths and tunnels.
It says its technical and commercial teams assess handling requirements with customers when selecting equipment for production workstations, considering productivity, investment and personnel health and safety.
In September this year, AMIO Levage supplied and installed a 5t CMU overhead crane featuring a reach of 8.7m for an undisclosed client.
