A construction company in Panama has brought a custom-engineered CLESCRANE overhead crane into operation after site constraints ruled out a conventional installation.

The project required a tailored approach after obstacles at the site interfered with reinforced crane runway beams, making it impossible to proceed with the original installation plan. The customer had undertaken several unsuccessful attempts to install a crane before engaging Zhengzhou-based CLESCRANE to devise an alternative solution.

CLESCRANE’s engineering team carried out a detailed assessment of the available space, existing runway structure and operational requirements at the site. The company then designed and supplied a CHS 3-ton single-girder overhead crane featuring a 22.39m span and 5.5m lifting height, classified as Class D and equipped with remote control.

The bespoke specifications allowed the crane to be fitted within the physical limitations of the site without requiring structural modifications to the surrounding infrastructure. The unit has since been commissioned and is now operational.

CLESCRANE, headquartered in Zhengzhou, Henan province, China, operates alongside sister companies GBCRANES, which handles manufacturing and assembly, and INAMAR, which provides project management services.
