UK-based overhead crane and lifting equipment specialist CraneCert has replaced the 40t twin hoist drums on an overhead crane for an undisclosed client.
The company’s engineers carried out the work outside normal operating hours to minimise disruption to the client’s production schedule.
The project began in the evening and was finished by the following afternoon, allowing the crane to return to service before production resumed.
According to the company, detailed planning enabled the replacement to be carried out without causing unplanned downtime.
The job required close coordination with the client to ensure that maintenance work did not interfere with ongoing operations.
Safety standards and workmanship were prioritised throughout the process, CraneCert stated.
