Levate Solutions has finalised and prepared a custom overhead crane for shipment to Manchester Galvanizing, a facility in Heywood, Manchester, UK.
The crane, completed following a sequence of design, fabrication, electrical assembly and internal testing, will soon be delivered for installation.
Before leaving Levate’s workshop, engineers performed a series of mechanical and electrical tests and verified all safety features, including the anti-sway and collision-prevention systems.
They also conducted load and functional assessments and completed quality assurance checks to ensure the equipment met operational requirements.
The company said: “Every stage is engineered to ensure the crane arrives on site ready for seamless installation and long-term reliable performance. Next step – commissioning and handover to the customer!”
Manchester Galvanizing, a part of Wedge Group Galvanizing, offers metal finishing services and operates its own transport vehicles for collection and delivery.
Levate Solutions, based in Shropshire, builds a range of overhead cranes and lifting equipment for various industries, including galvanising, foundry, automotive, aerospace and manufacturing. The company also provides automated control systems.
The firm began with its founders, John Davies and Paul Austin, who drew on decades of experience in engineering to establish the business.
Levate operates from two sites and holds a partnership with DEMAG, an international manufacturer.
The company focuses on industrial lifting solutions, utilising in-house expertise and technology to support material handling operations.
Earlier this year, Levate Solutions installed two standard overhead cranes for a client after completing design, manufacturing and on-site assembly.
The company stated that the cranes are now in use and will assist with the client’s regular operations.
