Centurion’s Power & Equipment division in Great Yarmouth, England has successfully completed a multi-site inspection contract for a prominent global bearings manufacturer.
The contract entailed conducting Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) inspections on over 3,000 items of loose rigging equipment across 25 factories. It also included assessments of overhead crane systems, runway beams, gantry, and light crane systems.
In addition to these inspections, Centurion supplied and manufactured customised lifting equipment and accessories.
Each item underwent load testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), and was colour-coded to ensure adherence to safety and legal standards. The company worked closely with the client to minimise disruption and maintain continuity during the inspections.
A representative of the client said: “A huge thank you to the Centurion team for seamlessly taking over the LOLER inspections. Your proactive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety have been outstanding. You’ve brought a high level of professionalism and reliability to the process.”
Centurion emphasises its commitment to providing tailored equipment and service packages that meet client needs while reinforcing key customer relationships.
The firm stated: “Centurion is proud to deliver tailored equipment and service packages that go above and beyond, reinforcing our commitment to delivering results and strengthening key customer relationships.”
The company’s expertise extends beyond this contract as it frequently partners with some of the world’s largest energy operators to manage lifting infrastructures globally. Centurion’s resources include highly qualified teams, a robust supply chain, and a focus on safety, enabling it to deliver leading Lifting Technical Authority Services.
These services comprise developing processes and procedures compliant with LOLER standards, reviewing existing processes for compliance, conducting pre-audit reviews, and offering technical incident investigations.
They also include creating Written Schemes as per LOLER requirements, providing lift planning assistance, risk assessment analysis, and support for LOLER inspection personnel. Additionally, Centurion offers guidance on Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) reviews and audits and conducts Drop Surveys as part of its comprehensive service offerings.
