Kito Crosby, a US-based provider of lifting and securement solutions, has announced the ER2 Second Step Variable Function, an enhancement to the ER2 Dual Speed Hoist.

The feature, available for the past two years, is now being highlighted for its precision in lifting operations. The function is designed for handling sensitive loads, such as fluids and items susceptible to swinging.

It allows operators to adjust the acceleration time during lifting and lowering, ensuring smooth starts and stops. This reduces load movement risks and enhances safety.

The ER2 Second Step Variable Function offers adjustable acceleration from 0.6 to 6 seconds, providing smooth acceleration to maximum speed within the selected timeframe.

It is optimised for delicate load handling. Programming is straightforward and can be done by Kito Crosby experts or certified technicians using standard inverter settings.

Kito Crosby Europe, Middle East and Africa sales and customer service senior director said: “Our focus is always on delivering solutions that help our customers operate more safely and efficiently. “With this function, we’re giving operators greater control when precision and care are critical.”

In March this year, the company launched its enhanced Kito Erikkila jib crane series. The new series is designed to improve performance and efficiency, focusing on safety, ease of installation, and cost-effectiveness. The cranes feature an adjustable jib shaft bearing for easier installation and an optional mounting plate for installation on thinner floors using chemical anchors.

Kito Crosby provides a wide range of products and solutions for demanding applications. With over 260 years of innovation, the company’s brands include Kito, Crosby, Harrington, Gunnebo Industries, and Peerless.
