China-based Henan Clescrane System (Clescrane) has delivered six overhead cranes to Ghana Engineering and Construction Company.
The shipment comprises three single-girder and three double-girder cranes, capable of handling loads ranging from 10 to 20 tons.
Each crane is equipped with an anti-sway control system, which enhances operational safety and is particularly beneficial for operators with limited experience.
The system uses mathematical calculations that factor in travel speed, acceleration, deceleration, crane and hoist time lag, hook position, and the length of the load being lifted. It allows even less experienced operators to transport goods safely.
Ghana Engineering and Construction Company, founded in 2000, is one of the largest private entities in Ghana’s engineering and construction industry.
The company provides various services, including engineering and construction, electrical and instrumentation, and heavy lifting equipment leasing. Its projects cover sectors such as oil and gas, mining, petrochemicals, and infrastructure, offering complete solutions to its clients.
In 2020, Ghana Engineering and Construction Company decided to increase its production capacity in Ghana. The company collaborated with their long-term partner, Clescrane, to choose suitable cranes for their new facility.
Clescrane was selected as the supplier once more, following a previous purchase in 2016. The cranes acquired at that time continue to operate effectively, affirming the reliability of Clescrane’s products.
