Crosby tuffs out the cold

The Crosby Group, US-based manufacturer of crane rigging and accessories, introduced HR-1000CT Cold Tuff hoist rings for temperatures below zero.

The HR-1000CT is suitable for use to -50°F (-45°C).

The new hoist ring is made with components that have with a maximum hardness of 34 HRc.

They are zinc coated by a thermal diffusion galvanizing process to imprpove corrosion resistance, the company said.

All load bearing components are made of heat treated, quenched and tempered alloy steel, individually magnetic particle inspected and certified, and proof tested to two times the working load limit. Frame two and larger are RFID Equipped

The Crosby Group's product range also includes wire rope clips, hooks, and shackles, lifting clamps, hoist rings, overhaul balls, snatch blocks, crane blocks and sheaves.
