Ideal Stone and Glass Group has installed a new 5t overhead crane at its glass processing facility, with the equipment supplied and fitted by On Point Machinery.

The crane, which features a 20m span, is expected to support the company’s efforts to meet increased production requirements.

On Point Machinery managed both the supply and installation process as Ideal Stone and Glass Group continues to expand its operations.

The addition of the crane is intended to strengthen handling capacity and streamline workflow within the production area.

The company said: “A huge thank you to Ideal Stone and Glass Group for their continued trust in us and our products.”

On Point Machinery is a UK and Ireland-based specialist in the supply, repair, servicing, and maintenance of machinery for the stone industry, including CNC equipment.

The company works with global manufacturers to provide a range of machinery solutions to its clients.

On Point Machinery’s staff includes engineers experienced in the stone processing sector.

Ideal Stone and Glass Group continues to expand its facilities to accommodate production growth in its glass processing operations.

The latest equipment installation comes as part of ongoing upgrades to improve production processes.

Earlier this year, On Point Machinery installed a jib crane and vacuum lifter at Stone & Ceramic’s London premises.

The equipment combines Jibforce and Manzelli systems to deliver a complete lifting and handling solution for a variety of stone and ceramic materials, from heavy slabs to thinner items such as 6mm ceramic.

The installation aimed to facilitate material handling by operators, helping to streamline operations while reducing manual effort.
