The so-called Steel-It range features a 316L stainless steel leafing pigment which creates a durable finish that protects steel structures used above the waterline in salt air environments, according to SSC
It added: “Highly corrosion-resistant, they are offered in an epoxy-based formulation for maximum durability or a polyurethane-based version for withstanding direct, prolonged UV exposure.”
Featuring a metallic satin grey finish that “will not chip, peel, or flake when applied with the appropriate primer,” the paint can be applied by brush, roller, and conventional and airless spray guns. SSC said the range is capable of withstanding a continuous 2,000 hour salt spray test.
