JF Electrical Engineering (JFEE) has removed and replaced a condemned overhead crane with a new 15m, 10t model at an undisclosed industrial client’s facility.

The project entailed dismantling the old equipment and installing the replacement crane, which was supplied by RGM Cranes UK.

JFEE’s team managed all stages of the installation process, including commissioning and final load testing, before handing over the crane for operational use.

RGM Cranes Sales Director Scott Turner said: “JF Electrical Engineering Limited great work and project management as usual.”

JF Electrical Engineering, located in Sheffield, provides various services within the overhead crane sector.

The company’s employees respond to equipment breakdowns, carry out routine maintenance and inspections, conduct statutory LOLER inspections, and perform system refurbishments and upgrades.

JFEE also installs new equipment, converts hoists, and upgrades wireless remote controls, in addition to building electrical panels.

Engineers at the company adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all procedures.

RGM Cranes UK supplied the new overhead crane for the project. The supplier operates internationally, including in Africa, the Middle East, and the UK.

RGM Cranes handles complete crane supply and installation processes for clients across these regions.

In May this year, JFEE replaced a 2t safe working load runway beam at a client’s site after identifying wear along the track.

The company completed the work while facility operators maintained regular operations, minimising disruption to site activities.
