German-based eepos, in partnership with Vakuumtechnik, has installed a lifting system tailored for the precise handling of large-format glass and window elements, targeting industrial and construction applications.

The assembly integrates an aluminium crane system, a chain hoist from Kito, and a custom vacuum gripper designed to handle a range of materials, including plastic, aluminium, wooden window frames, and large glass panels.

The system, built on a lightweight aluminium track, can manage loads up to 500kg.

Operators can position loads accurately during installation while the configuration aims to minimise required manual effort and maintain consistent handling quality over repetitive processes.

The design of the vacuum gripper, developed by Vakuumtechnik, focuses on ensuring a secure grip on various surfaces, contributing to overall process safety and reliability.

eepos said: “The combination of modular crane technology and application-specific vacuum gripping delivers a highly efficient solution for industrial assembly and construction environments.

“Thanks to VAKUUMTECHNIK for the strong technical partnership and execution.”

Multiple versions of the gripper are available to accommodate specific handling needs.

eepos develops, manufactures, and assembles aluminium crane systems, lifting axes, and energy columns at its headquarters in Wiehl, near Cologne.

The company became part of the Kito Crosby group in 2024.

Kito Crosby, with a history spanning over 250 years, is known for its global engineering, manufacturing, and distribution operations within the lifting and securing industry. Its portfolio addresses demanding load handling requirements worldwide.

In December 2025, eepos completed the installation of a material handling system combining structural steelwork and an aluminium crane, along with an electric chain hoist supplied by Kito.

The system delivers a lifting capacity of 1,000kg and incorporates a 20m runway with a 6m bridge to suit industrial operation.
