Sinkhorn will be responsible for “leading business and growth activities for the company, including sales leadership, strategic marketing and business development,” Demag said.

Sinkhorn brings more than 30 years experience in manufacturing to his new position. Specific to the crane and hoist industry, his 14 years experience include roles as product manager for Demag Cranes & Components, where he was in charge of the marketing and engineering functions for North America. Prior to that, he worked as general manager over three divisions of P&H/Morris Material Handling.

“We are very pleased that Dave has accepted the leadership position at Crane America Services. His experience and leadership will provide the catalyst for further growth,” said John Paxton, president, Demag Cranes & Components North America.

CAS has provided electrical and mechanical services to industrial customers in the US for more than 30 years. Its primary focus has been the service, repair, modernisation and upgrade of overhead cranes and hoists.

Demag, meanwhile, has been involved in the manufacture, installation and service of overhead hoists and cranes for over 180 years “and boasts the largest installed base in the world,” it claimed.
