The facility will be built on a land area of around 8,000 sq m with the facility approximately 4,000 sq m, where the manufacture of various industrial cranes will take place, such as single girder, double girder, stacker and goliath units.
ElectroMech managing director Tushar Mehendale said: “Southern India is known to be a very important hub for the manufacturing industry in India. Being in the heavy engineering industry, transportation costs are a major component of the total costs. In order to be closer to our customers and provide a more cost-effective solution, it makes strategic sense to have a manufacturing base there.”
ElectroMech already has a large number of installations in Southern India, particularly in Chennai. It caters for a number of clients in various sectors ranging from automobile ancillary industries and companies engaged in the power sector.
