Jack Stinnett has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Morris Material Handling. He succeeds Mike Erwin who has retired after 26 years with the company formerly known as P&H. Erwin will remain a consultant to the company for a transition period.

Stinnett claims to have had “just about every job in a manufacturing company one can have – engineer, project manager, purchasing manager, materials manager, plant manager and director for multiple plants”.

After five years in the US Navy as an engineering officer he worked for Babcock & Wilcox and then, for the past 10 years, TRW. He has run operations in both his native USA and the UK, the two countries in which Morris manufactures.
