SODILEVE has installed an inverted jib crane for maintenance operations at a pallet manufacturing facility located south of Bordeaux in France.
The project was carried out without the use of lifting equipment such as cranes or forklifts, which could not be positioned within the client’s operational environment.
The installation was performed on a Saturday to avoid disruption to production.
The crane features a two-part barrel, allowing assembly using a remote distribution base.
Components for the installation were designed and manufactured by Comege and Verlinde Lifting Equipment, both partners on the project.
The managing team from SODILEVE acknowledged the installation team’s efforts. Preparations and support from the client also contributed to the installation process.
Comege, which also contributed to this project, is a France-based manufacturer of lifting equipment.
Its product range includes jib cranes, gantry cranes, and spreader beams, and the company serves various sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, water treatment, the nuclear industry, mining, food processing, and port operations.
Based in Western France, SODILEVE provides installation and maintenance services to industries including automotive, agri-food, wood processing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, industrial manufacturing, and construction.

In May, SODILEVE finalised the installation of a jib crane featuring a 125kg triangulated stem supplied by Comege and a VX2 hoist from Verlinde.
The system incorporated a steel hollow profile jib crane, engineered to handle loads up to 125kg.
