Whiting Corporation has secured ISO 9000 certification and its TE Supplement, an additional set of requirements for tooling and equipment suppliers. The US company claims to be the first manufacturer of top running overhead cranes in the world to be registered to the TE Supplement of ISO 9000.
The scope of the certification includes the design, manufacturing, installation and servicing of overhead cranes, railroad maintenance equipment, foundry equipment, custom equipment and their parts and service.
“The implementation of these standards involves everyone at Whiting and Whiting Services, and sharpens our focus on continual improvement,” said Whiting president Jeff Kahn.
