The manufacturer says the new rollers designed to be used with variable-speed or two-speed trolleys.
When used for variable-speed trolleys, Verlinde’s unit includes two free-running rollers, two powered rollers, 2 motors and gearboxes, 4 rubber stops and a cabinet-housed speed variation system.
When it is used for two-speed trolleys or with travelling crane girders, the CB type roller unit is configured identically to the variable-speed version, with the exception that the speed variation system is not included.
The four models in the range target different capacities. At the lower capacity end, up to 8t, the D125 is suitable for applications requiring travel speeds between 6.5 and 27m per minute along a 40 to 50mm wide running rail. Next in the range is the D160, for loads up to 25t, which allows speeds from 5 to 25m per minute on a 50 to 60mm wide running rail.
At the larger end of the capacity range, there is the model D200, targeting applications with loads of up to 30t, speeds from 6 to 24m per minute, and running rail widths between 50 and 65 mm. In addition, Verlinde offers a model D250, for a maximum load of 58t, speeds from 5 to 32m per minute, and a running rail width from 70 to 75mm.
