Hangar 23 is part of a programme to redevelop 800 hectares of unused industrial and port land to the west of Rouen, and is where the Duchamp-Villon Theatre has been running its programme since 2001. Hanger 23 has a floor area of 4,000 m sq and can seat up to 500, with 1,000 standing.

Stagemaker SM5 and SM1 chain hoists have been used to help manage the stage, and have been coupled with R8CPU computerised controllers. Eight R8CPU control centres are driving all the chain hoists.

This system enables staff at Hangar 23 to assembly and disassemble the stage from the ground, making working on the stage safer and more comfortable.
