Street Crane of the UK unveiled its new CX range of chain hoists at the Promat materials handling show in Chicago last week. The CX series, covering 250kg to 2t capacities, are designed to give a low cost of ownership through their lifetime. Brakes, for example, are designed for one million full load cycles before they need adjusting, Street claims.
CX hoists with eye suspension units are configured for fixed position workstations. The addition of CX trolley units enables them to be used as part of an EOT or jib crane. Their IP55 casing makes them suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Safety features include fail-safe DC disc brakes, asbestos-free linings, foolproof plug-in electrical connections and overload protection.
The CX range is the second stage in Street’s product development strategy. The ZX range, launched three years ago, covers lifting capacities up to 25t. A TVX range is planned for lifting up to 100t.
