Unalloy-IWRC, a provider of wire rope, rigging products and perforated metals, has seven service center locations including those in Sudbury and Timmins, Ontario.

As a dealer, Unalloy-IWRC will offer sales and service of O’Brien crane product lines such as overhead cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, workstation bridge cranes, monorail cranes, lifting beams, hoists and parts.

Cranewerx was O’Brien’s previous dealer in Northern Ontario. Due to the death of its owner, Mike Doherty, Cranewerx has ceased its operations.

Wayne Davis, vice-president at O’Brien Installations Limited said, “Mike built a very respectable customer base in a short period of time, by supplying great quality crane products and exceptional service.”

“By partnering with Unalloy-IWRC, existing users of our equipment will continue to receive the highest quality material handling equipment and service they’ve come to expect. With Unalloy-IWRC as our dealer, we are positioned to increase our service capabilities and support in Northern Ontario,” said Davis.

Kevin Smith, director of business development and marketing at Unalloy-IWRC, gave the distributor’s perspective:

“We are excited to add the extensive line of O’Brien material handling equipment to our offering and we are looking forward to building a long lasting business relationship that provides our customers with above and below the hook solutions.”
