The new hoist, dubbed the “EH 125 monorail hoist”, functions on 6 bar air pressure, and is driven by 10kW and 2.8kW rated motors respectively for its lifting and traverse functions.
JD Neuhaus provides the standard version of the hoist with a six double-chain mechanism, able to lift at a height of 3m and a speed of 0.30m/min when fully loaded, and 0.38m/min on lowering. The hoist can travel at 6m/min when loaded, or 8m/min unloaded.
A multi-function pendant controller is supplied with a 2m flexible connection. The controller offers control of the lift/lowering and traverse operations and is both precise and infinitely variable, the company said.
The company intendeds the new mega-lifting hoist for applications within heavy industries, such as those in cement, steel, chemical, power generation, oil and gas and shipbuilding
Within these applications, the hoist will operate with low-headroom for compact spaces, humid spaces, dusty space, and spaces where there is potential for explosions, as it comes with an Ex rating. It is additionally suitable for operating below freezing, in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +70°C.
