He replaces current Group Editor Will Dalrymple who, after this year’s Middle East Cranes conference on February 24-25 at the Shangri-La hotel in Dubai (book before February 10 to receive our reduced booking rate), will move to another division of the company to edit Nuclear Engineering International.
John Band, Director of Content at Progressive Media Publishing, said: “Many congratulations to Richard on this well-deserved promotion, which follows a very successful time running Hoist and building OCH into a major title.”
It represents a return to familiar turf for Richard, who originally joined the group as Assistant Editor on Cranes Today in July 2005. Since then he has been the Editor of its sister title Hoist and launched our newest magazine, Overhead Crane & Hoist in September 2007.
Deputy Editor Will North remains in his current role, while journalist David Pittman has joined the team as Reporter across all three titles.
The editorial team will continue to work with Mark Bridger, Group Sales Manager; Martin McCarthy, Senior Sales International; Kate Hearn, Classified Sales Manager; and the group’s agents who represent the brands in Italy, Japan and China.
